Refund policy
This Policy applies to clothing, apparel and related accessories purchased from Tayal saree House through this website and delivered to addresses within India. By placing an order, the customer acknowledges that they have reviewed this Policy, the relevant product description, size chart and care instruction.
- No Returns or Exchanges for Change of Mind
• Change of mind, personal preference or a garment no longer being wanted.
• Wrong size, colour, design, quantity or variant selected by the customer.
• Fit concerns where the garment corresponds to the published size chart and disclosed measurement tolerance.
• Ordering multiple sizes or styles for trial purposes.
• Minor colour differences caused by photography, lighting, screen settings or reasonable dye-lot variation.
• Minor variations in print placement, embroidery, weave, texture or finish that are normal for the garment.
• Natural variations in handmade, hand-dyed, handwoven, block-printed, embroidered or artisan-made garments.
• Damage caused by wear, washing, ironing, steaming, dry cleaning, alteration, incorrect storage or failure to follow
care instructions.
• Sale, clearance or promotional purchases, unless the product qualifies under Section 2.
2. Products Eligible for a Claim
• A product, size, colour or design different from the order confirmation was delivered.
• The garment arrived torn, stained, damaged or with a material manufacturing defect.
• The quantity is incorrect, or a material component or accessory described in the listing is missing.
• The fabric, construction or garment is materially different from its website description.
• The product appears used, counterfeit, expired where relevant, or unsafe.
• A prepaid order is confirmed by us or the courier as lost or undelivered.
3. What Is Not Normally a Defect
• A fit that differs from personal expectation where the garment matches the published measurements.
• Measurement differences within minor tolerance.
• Minor colour, texture, weave, print-placement or embroidery variations.
• Natural slubs and irregularities in linen, silk, handloom and other natural or artisan fabrics.
• Wrinkles caused by folding, packing or shipment.
• Minor loose threads that can be safely trimmed and do not affect construction.
• Normal wear and tear or damage caused by friction, jewellery, bags, perfumes, deodorants, bleach or chemicals.
• Shrinkage, fading or colour bleeding that is inherent, clearly disclosed and consistent with the care instructions.
4. Size and Fit
• Customers must select the size using the product-specific size chart. Body measurements and finished garment
measurements may differ.
• Sizing is not standardized across brands. A familiar size label does not guarantee the same fit.
• Fit guidance from customer support is advisory unless expressly guaranteed in writing.
• If we supply a different size, or the garment materially differs from the published measurements beyond the disclosed
tolerance, the customer may submit a claim.
5. Reporting Period
• Wrong product, wrong size supplied by us, visible damage, stains, missing item or incorrect quantity: report within 48 hours of delivery.
• Manufacturing or functional defect not immediately visible: report within 7 calendar days of delivery.
• A latent defect that could not reasonably have been identified earlier will be assessed under applicable law and any
applicable warranty.
6. How to Submit a Claim
• Contact SUPPORT EMAIL or PHONE/WHATSAPP with the customer name, order number and delivery date from contact us section.
• Provide a description of the issue and clear photographs of the full garment and the affected area.
• Include photographs of the product tag, size label, wash-care label, packaging and shipping label.
• An unedited parcel-opening video may assist assessment, but its absence will not automatically invalidate a genuine
claim.
• Do not return a product until written return authorization and instructions are issued.
7. Condition of an Eligible Return
• The garment must be unworn except for a brief indoor fitting, unwashed, unaltered and not dry-cleaned.
• It must be free from stains, makeup, perfume, deodorant, odour, pet hair and other signs of use.
• Original tags, labels, accessories, packaging and promotional items should be included.
• The product must be the same item originally supplied by us.
• For hygiene-sensitive items such as innerwear, lingerie, swimwear, socks, stockings and shapewear, an opened seal
may prevent a discretionary return. This does not remove remedies for a wrong, damaged, defective or unsafe
product.
8. Customized and Altered Garments
• Made-to-measure, personalized, monogrammed, altered and specially customized garments cannot ordinarily be cancelled or returned after production begins.
• This exclusion does not apply where the garment was made contrary to accepted specifications, supplied wrongly, damaged, defective or unsafe.
• Changes to measurements or customization instructions are effective only if accepted by us in writing before production begins.
9. Assessment and Remedies
• We may review evidence, request measurements, arrange pickup or inspect the returned garment.
• An approved claim may result in repair, replacement, supply of a missing component, proportionate price reduction, store credit with consent, or refund.
• Where reasonably appropriate, repair or replacement may be offered before refund. Store credit will not replace a monetary refund where a refund is legally required.
• If the same garment is unavailable, an alternative may be offered with the customer’s consent, or an eligible refund may be processed.
10. Return Shipping and Refund Processing
• For an approved wrong, damaged, defective, incomplete or materially misdescribed product, we will arrange reverse pickup, provide a prepaid label, or reimburse reasonable pre-approved trackable shipping costs.
• Approved refunds will ordinarily include the amount paid for the affected item and standard shipping attributable to our error or the eligible issue.
• Premium delivery, gift wrapping, COD and correctly completed customization charges may be non-refundable where legally permitted.
• Refunds will ordinarily be initiated within 7 business days after approval. Banks and payment providers may require additional processing time.
• COD refunds may be processed through UPI or bank transfer using details supplied by the customer
11. Reasons a Claim May Be Rejected
• The request concerns only change of mind, style preference or fit preference.
• The customer selected the wrong size, colour, design or quantity.
• The garment matches the order and published description within the disclosed tolerance.
• The issue is a disclosed or normal characteristic of the fabric or production method.
• The product was worn beyond a brief fitting, washed, ironed, steamed, dry-cleaned, tailored or altered.
• Tags or material parts are missing, or the garment shows stains, odours or signs of use.
• Damage resulted from incorrect care, misuse, friction, chemicals, unauthorized repair or normal wear.
• The product returned is not the product supplied, or reasonable evidence/inspection is refused.
• The claim is fraudulent, misleading, abusive or materially inconsistent.
12. Sale and Clearance Products
• Sale, clearance and promotional items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns or exchanges.
• They remain eligible if wrong, damaged, defective, incomplete, unsafe, counterfeit or materially misdescribed.
• A disclosed imperfection in a seconds or imperfect item is not a defect when clearly communicated before purchase.
13. Order Cancellation
• Cancellation may be requested before processing, packing, customization, alteration or dispatch, but is not
confirmed until accepted in writing.
• An order ordinarily cannot be cancelled after dispatch merely because the customer changed their mind.
• Customized, personalized and made-to-measure orders cannot ordinarily be cancelled after work begins.
• If we cancel because of stock unavailability, listing error or inability to fulfil, the collected amount for the cancelled
item will be refunded.
• Any cancellation deduction will be disclosed and applied only where legally permissible.
14. Refused and Undeliverable Orders
• Where delivery fails due to an incorrect address, unavailable recipient, repeated attempts or customer refusal,
reasonable actual forward and return shipping may be deducted where legally permitted.
• Redispatch may require additional shipping payment.
• This does not apply where a parcel is reasonably refused because it is visibly damaged, materially tampered with or
clearly incorrect.
15. Statutory Consumer Rights
• Nothing in this Policy excludes or restricts a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer
Protection Act, 2019, Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, Legal Metrology law or other applicable Indian
law.
• If this Policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, that requirement prevails to the extent of the conflict.
Part B. Fabric Care Instructions
- Universal Care Rules
• Read the sewn-in care label before washing, drying, ironing or dry cleaning.
• Separate whites, lights and dark colours. Wash new dark or heavily dyed garments separately.
• Empty pockets, close zips and hooks, loosen drawstrings and turn printed or embellished garments inside out.
• Use a mild detergent in the recommended quantity. Do not apply concentrated detergent directly to fabric.
• Do not use chlorine bleach unless the label expressly permits it.
• Treat stains promptly, but test any cleaner on a hidden area first. Blot rather than rub delicate fibres.
• Avoid prolonged soaking, especially for dark colours, prints, embroidery, rayon, viscose, silk, wool and embellished
garments.
• Dry garments in shade unless the label permits tumble drying. Strong sunlight can fade colour and weaken fibres.
• Use a pressing cloth for delicate, dark, printed, coated or embellished surfaces.
• Store garments clean and fully dry. Use breathable covers for long-term storage. - “Dry Clean Only” Guidance
• A “Dry Clean Only” instruction means professional cleaning is required. Home washing may cause shrinkage, dye
bleeding, distortion, adhesive failure, surface damage or loss of embellishments.
• Tell the cleaner about stains, delicate trims, prints, pleats, coatings and accessories. Point out any known colourtransfer risk.
• Remove garments promptly from plastic dry-cleaning bags and allow them to air before storage.
• Do not apply water, steam, stain remover, perfume or deodorant directly to a Dry Clean Only garment unless advised
by a qualified cleaner.
• For coordinated sets, clean matching pieces together where practical to keep colour and appearance consistent.
